How it started...?
Back in the Autumn 2010 I started thinking about developing a great platform, not just another mobile application. Ideas came to my mind and I went on, experimenting things with Java ME, Android, Python, Apache, Linux and few other things.
Ideais came, one after the other, some great and some a bit difficult to implement. Unfortunately, most of them didn't pass the Prove of Concept phase and haven't seen a light of a day. However, with persistence and support from family and friends, I completed and published my first application: marillion for android. It might be just another application, but that's just the biginning.
The prefix "ekho" is derived from echo (k). Its origins can be traced backed the anscient Greek Mithology, where a nymph whose unrequited love for Narcissus caused her to pine away until nothing but her voice remained. In addition, a more scientific explanation says that it has to do with the repetition of a sound by reflection of sound waves from a surface.
Regarding the suffix "labs", it was first used as "lab" and came from one of my first ideas where I was thinking about something that would involve Local Area Broadcast. Due to the similarity with lab, from laboratory, I decided to change it and came out with the name ekholabs
